His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC) continued to demonstrate his unwavering support for Brunei Darussalam’s athletes competing at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games in Scotland by attending national swimmer Sharmeen binti Mohamad Mharvin’s women’s 100-metre backstroke event on Saturday, at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow, Scotland.
Sharmeen finished the race with the time of 1:07.80 and did not smash her own personal best record. She was placed 30/35 overall position and did not qualify to the next round.
His Royal Highness’s presence reflected his continued support and unwavering commitment to the development of sport in Brunei, while also providing encouragement and motivation to the nation’s athletes as they strive to bring honour to the country on the international stage. – James Kon
