The 2nd Brunei Squash League resumed on Tuesday with the Hawks and National Stadium winning their respective matches.

Getting off the ground for the first time this year, two matches were contested at the Squash Centre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

The Hawks defeated the IPT Lions 3-1 in the first match, with Mohd Mohsin Khan taking down Huzairie Ali 3-0 in the first game to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead.

Rosman Roslin made it 2-0 for the Hawks when he cruised past Mohd Kamal Bakar 3-1.

Shavez Cheema would pull one back for the IPT Lions after defeating Mohd Jamal Abdul 3-0, but Wina Mohamamad would seal the victory for the Hawks after going past Nur Amal Rahman 3-0.

The National Stadium beat the Jerudong International School (JIS) Bulls 3-1 in the second match.

Vincent Lawrence gave the JIS Bulls an early lead when he defeated Pg Anak Hasnan Pg Anak Hj Rozanan 3-0.

However JIS Bulls would lose all their three matches after that, with Catherine Carter going down 3-0 to Hj Muhd Sufri Hj Abdul Hamid, Phil Lowther falling 3-1 to Fauzi Awang while Adrian Wallace Scott bowed down 3-2 to Hj Rosnah Lakim.

A new unofficial team called the Loan Service team was also introduced in the league on Tuesday.

Though they are only officially joining the next edition of the league, currently they will only play any team which does not have a game.

The next round of matches will take place on Tuesday with Army team going up against the Hawks, while IPT Lions will be taking on the National Stadium team.

Young Lions' Muhd Kamaluddin Abu Bakar, Mohsin, Muhd Shavez and Huzairi defeated Jerudong International School (JIS) Tigers' Carter, Lawrence, Lowther and Chris Kruger 3-1 in their last league match to top the table with 135 points to win last year's first edition. Their senior team, Bru Lions, were second on 130 points.
