Brunei Darussalam secured its first bronze at the 33rd SEA Games as the National Sepak Takraw team finished in joint third place with the Philippines in the Hoop Event. Gold went to host Thailand, while Myanmar claimed silver.
The Brunei team scored 500 points in the competition.
Team members included Abdul Hadi Ariffin bin Matali, Mohammad Hafizzuddin bin Jamaludin, Abdul Mu’iz bin Nordin, Muhammad Azri bin Awang Abdul Harith, Awangku Mohammad Hisham bin Pengiran Hassan and Muhammad Abdul Marteen bin Haji Asdi. – James Kon
