Brunei wushu athletes compete in Men’s Nangun

BRUNEI Darussalam wushu athlete Mohammad Adi Salihin Roslan and Mohd Sufi Shayiran Roslan ended their campaign with a shared score of 9.58 points in the Men’s Nangun event at the Jakarta International Expo in Jakarta yesterday.

The event was the second part of the Men’s Nanquan and Nangun all-around event.

Macau’s Junhua Huang claimed gold after posting 9.73 points in the Men’s Nangun event while Quoc Khanh Pham won silver with 9.71 points and Lee Yongmun taking bronze with 9.71 points.

Meanwhile, Brunei Darussalam weightlifter Awangku Yusri Amir bin Pengiran Dato Setia Yusof is busy with preparing for his upcoming event and has been training at the warm up area of the Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran Hall.

The national weightlifter focussed on lower strength, specifically on back squat, during his training as he geared for the big stage.

For equestrian, national equestrian athlete Pengiran Mohd Nasir bin Pengiran Anak Ja’afar took part in training which focussed on fitness conditioning at the gymnasium of Tower 3 Athlete Village.

Brunei Darussalam national golfers Awangku Muhd Syakir bin Pengiran Haji Alli and Mohd Aritz Maldini bin Haji Abdul Majid took part in adjustment training at the Pondok Indah Golf Course.

The national golfers also took part in a two-hour short game, chipping, bunker shots, putting and learning the speed of the green as they fine-tune their game before the start of the men’s individual round.
