BRUNEI Darussalam’s national pencak silat exponent Zainorarif Zaini was awarded bronze in the Class ‘D’ Tanding event of the Road to Asian Games 2018 in Padepokan, Jakarta yesterday.
Brunei Darussalam’s SEA Games silver medallist Norleyermah Haji Raya also won silver on Wednesday, narrowly beaten to gold by Cherry May Regaldo of Malaysia by a solitary point.
The Road to Asian Games 2018 is a test run ahead of the main competition in August later this year.
Ninety-one athletes from 10 countries namely Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand took part in the tournament which concluded yesterday.
