Brunei Wushu team end campaign on high note

THE Brunei Wushu Team concluded their 4th China-Asean Wushu Festival Invitation 2017 on a high note after winning two gold medals and one silver during the final day of the competition yesterday.

In total, Brunei Wushu Team bagged two golds, three silvers and one bronze.

Woo Wai Sii, competing in her first competition after recuperating from a major injury, won first place in Nangun. Mohd Adi Salihin bin Roslan won gold medal in Nandao event and Hosea Wong Zheng Yu took silver in Taichi Jian.

National Wushu coach Li Hui commented, “Woo Wai Sii has done well in the competition. I hope he will continue to train hard for the country to prepare for the SEA Games.”

Touching on the rising young pairs, Hosea Wong Zheng Yu and Mohd Adi Salihin, he said, “They have showed vast improvement and I hope they will work hard to further improve and grow by participating in more competitions.”

He thanked the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as well as the Wushu Federation of Brunei Darussalam for their support.
