Myanmar’s Than Htut Win bagged four goals in the rout in the 6th, 7th, 32nd and 43rd minute while Aung Nyein Chan collected a brace in the 29th and 32nd minute.

The hosts ran rampant with solitary strikes from Wai Ko in the 11th minute, Zaw Hein Min in the 28th minute, Ni Zar in the 42nd minute and Zin Oo Myo in the 55th minute.

Meanwhile, in the other pool match, Chinese Taipei beat Hong Kong 3-1 in a result which subsequently led them to the top of the four-team group.

Chinese Taipei took the lead in the third minute through Shih Chung-Pang before Tsang Kin Kan levelled matters for Hong Kong in the 17th minute.

But Chinese Taipei were not to be denied as Tseng Hsien-Yi helped regain his side’s lead in the 28th minute before Chen His-Fan completed the scoring in the 43rd minute.

Brunei will play group leaders Chinese Taipei next on November 28 while Myanmar take on Hong Kong in a match which will see either side taking a foothold of second spot with a win.
