Wushu contingent off to make country proud

BRUNEI Darussalam’s Wushu contingent will be representing the country at the 9th Asian Junior Wushu Championship in Gumi, Republic of Korea held from September 14 to 21.

The contingent comprising athletes Majdurano Joel bin Majallah Sain, 13; Hosea Wong Zheng Yu, 14; and Nur Batrisyia binti Ripin, 13; led by National Wushu Coach Li Hui, will be competing in the competition’s Category B (Under-16).

Majdurano Joel and Nur Batrisyia will be competing in the Nan Quan, Nan Dao and Nan Gun events, while Hosea will compete in the Tai Ji Quan and Tai Ji Jian.

Present to bid the team farewell at the Departure Hall of the Brunei International Airport were Lim Boon Hwa, Secretary General of the Brunei Darussalam Wushu Federation and committee members of the Wushu Federation.
