Brunei duo hope to make waves at Japan Synchronised Swimming C’hips

THE national synchronised swimming team is competing in the 93rd Japan Synchronised Swimming Championships until April 30.

The team is led by manager Awangku Abdul Farid bin Pengiran Idrus and coach Nur Anna Muin. The swimmers are Jacqueline Lim and Nur Hafizah Ahmad, who are taking part in the solo and duet events.

“Our objective is to provide international exposure to our swimmers. This also serves as preparations for the SEA Games in August in Kuala Lumpur,” said Brunei Darussalam Amateur Swimming Association Vice-President Ahmad Isa.

The competition is part of the FINA Synchronised Swimming World Series 2017 with teams from Belarus, Brunei, Canada, France, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, the United States, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam participating.
