BRUNEI Darussalam National Olympic Council (BNOC) has recognised and accepted Brunei Darussalam Yachting Association (BDYA) as an affiliated member.
BDYA has also been accepted as a full member of Asian Sailing Federation (ASAF) and the World Sailing (WS), formerly known as ISAF International Sailing Federation.
WS is the world governing body for the sport of sailing, and is officially recognised by the international Olympic Committee (IOC).
BDYA said it hoped local sailors would qualify for the next SEA Games next year after doing reasonably well in recent regional competitions.
