The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) is lending a helping hand to Brunei.

FIFA Development Officer Jeysing Muthiah from Kuala Lumpur and FIFA Technical Consultant Sivaji Nair of Singapore are in the Sultanate for the five-day Football Management Program of FIFA Action Plan which started on Monday.

The pair paid a courtesy call to the Brunei National Olympic Council (BNOC) committee yesterday at the Conference Room of the Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium in Berakas followed by a meeting at the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) House, also in Berakas.

Present for both was His Royal Highness Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah, the president of both BNOC and NFABD.

The FIFA officials are in the Sultanate to help draw up a two-year action plan for NFABD.

"We are here to review the existing condition of football in Brunei with NFABD," said Muthiah.

"We are here to help NFABD draw up a two-year action plan, not only for the administrative side but also the technical side of football development," he added.

The FIFA officials also meet with national football coach Kwon Oh-son as well as officials from both the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
