Tears were shed upon arrival at the Brunei International Airport in Berakas but it was definitely worth it.

The national wushu team were hard at work for a 40-day stint at the Shanghai Sports Centre and the athletes Harris Adli Peranchis, Faustina Woo Wai Sii, Lee YingShi, Karyn Ho Chia Yin and brothers Mohd Adi Syarani and Mohd Sufi Shayiran Roslan touched down on home soil last night to be embraced by their families and friends.

National wushu coach Li Hui had said that there have been plenty of improvements from the team and to add icing on the cake, the five exponents made Brunei proud by winning four gold, four silver and four bronze medals at the Xinjiang International Wushu Tournament from May 13-15.

The team will resume training tomorrow.
